Improving the communication barriers between schools and parents

Have you heard about the great work The William Penn Foundation is doing to improve student’s education? During an event called Clear Communication for Student Success, The William Penn Foundation brought together 200 professionals that used their voices to improve student’s education through communication with schools and parents. One large communication barrier that many participants noted was that schools should be upfront with parents when they receive information about their child’s grade level. This is because many parents believe that their child is doing great in school because they don’t understand the data and don’t get the full picture.
